Why we exist

There is help for the person being cared for. There is almost nothing for the person doing the caring.

If you need a ramp, a wheelchair, a nurse, a program, a form, you can find it. But if you are the daughter, the wife, the sister, the son who has not had a day to yourself in three years, there is no phone number for that.

People will take care of your needs. Nobody asks about your wants.

So we built the other side of it

We do not pay bills and we do not hand out cash. We do something smaller and, for a caregiver, sometimes bigger.

  • Somebody nominates a caregiver and tells us what would mean the most to them.
  • We find a local business willing to donate that one thing.
  • The caregiver gets their day. The business gets featured, told about, and thanked out loud.
  • Both sides get their story on camera, so the next caregiver knows this exists.

Somebody gets nominated

A friend, a coworker, a sister, a neighbor fills out the form and tells us who they are, who they care for, and the one thing that would make their week.

A salon, a spa, a restaurant, a cleaning service, a respite care agency donates that service one time. No cost to the caregiver. Ever.

The story gets told

We sit down with both of them on camera. Why she needed it. Why they said yes. That story lives on our channel and does the recruiting for us.
